Vintage Yamaha Discboy CD Player Rare First Ever Model 80's Spares Or Repair

If you're reading this then you'll already know exactly what you're looking at

This was Yamahas first ever (I think) portable CD player which came out way back in the 80's when CDs were first released. The fact that they called it a 'Discboy'  let's you know who their main competitor was.

These were expensive compared to their Sony equivalent so hardly any were ever sold or produced...consequently, there are virtually none left on Earth! A working example of one of these recently sold for £158.

I put some batteries in this and...nothing. so I'm selling it as spares or repair. Probably one for a tinkerer or someone who knows what they're doing. So no power but its in decent condition. All buttons present. No cracks in the shell. Lens looks ok. Will need a bit of plastic to cover the display.

The Discboy in the pics is the one that you'll recieve (apart from the last pic which is for your price verification). Comes with the original case.
