Vintage 1960s Tradesman’s Tool Chest & Mixed Hand Tools Job Lot
A fantastic old working tradesman’s tool chest complete with a large assortment of vintage and later hand tools - the box and tools in the photos are the set that you'll recieve (I used ai to out a white background in the first pic - looks like it decided to rearrange everything too - please use pic 2 onwards as your main guide!)
There is a lovely bit of history behind this one. The grandfather (first generation of users) had the chest built in the 1960s, and it subsequently passed through three generations of tradesmen, with each generation continuing to use the same chest and adding, replacing and updating tools as the years went by.
As a result, much of the collection dates from around the 1960s and is contemporary with the chest itself, while other tools were added during the 1980s/90s and a small number of more modern pieces were added by the final generation in the early 2000s.
We think that mixture is part of its charm. This isn't simply a collection of old tools put together as a job lot – it is a genuine working toolbox that was used, altered and added to by the same family over several decades.

The chest measures approximately:
20 inches long
12.5 inches wide
11 inches high
The contents include a large assortment of old wooden-handled tools, pliers and pincers, files, screwdrivers, punches, dividers/calipers, hammer, wooden mallet, Stanley and Calor branded pieces and numerous other workshop and engineering hand tools.

CONDITION
Considering that many of these tools are now well over half a century old, they have been very well cared for throughout their working life.
There is age-related wear, surface rust, marks and general workshop use as you would expect, and most would benefit from a clean, but overall the tools remain in usable condition.
We have deliberately left them largely as found rather than over-cleaning or restoring them, so they retain their original character and patina.
IMPORTANT: All blades have been removed from this tool lot in line with eBay's bladed items policy. No knives, saw blades, axes or hatchets are included.
A really characterful old toolbox with a great history, ideal for a collector, workshop, garage, vintage tool enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates old working tools.
