Vintage Sea Shells In Jar Original 1970's - Lancashire Coast Clams Limpets

These shells were collected from the Lancashire coast back in the 1970's. Then cleaned and stored in the jar where they have remained for half a century.

The jar in the photos is the one that you'll recieve. As you can see it contains a mixture of clams, oysters, cockles and there are a few small whelks in there too. All shells are small to mid sized.

This would make a beautiful display piece  - particularly if you are designing a property near the coast! The jars also have a nautical feel to them - the glass is slighly green and the cork stoppers really enhance the look and feel of the item. Not the kind of thing everyone wants for but I you've read this far it's definitely exactly what you're looking for. Stealing shells from beaches is now frowned upon as it's so bad for the coastal ecosystem so these are getting harder to find. With these you can still get that distinctive coastal look without damaging the environment!
