Vintage SAS Scandinavian Carry On Travel Bag Cabin Luggage - Unique One Off

Great opportunity to own a genuine piece of history - I suspect this is the last of it's kind left on the planet!

This is a vintage, underseat carry on bag from the golden age of air transportation. Judging by the materials used and the print we can deduce it was made in the late 1950's to early 1960's - so over 70 years old! The bag was designed by SAS (who were one of the biggest airlines at the time) to fit underneath your seat.

What makes this one so special is that it was commissioned by Sandvik Coromant - an engineering company that are still going to this day! They make modular toolsets for manufacturing companies and this bag was obviously designed for one of their executives. They can't have made more than a handful of these and there is absolutely nothing on the internet about this example. If you're looking for something totally unique then this is it!

Still in perfect working order and in excellent condition - and will still fit under your plane chair! (Although please check with your airline - they keep changing the rules to extract your cash!)

There are plenty of the standard SAS shoulder bags on the market (these were handed out to every single passenger so millions were produced). The trending price ranges from £30 for a totally wrecked one to £60 for a perfect one. This example is something totally different but I've kept the price roughly the same for a quick sale (it's definitely worth a lot more than I'm asking for!)

Condition

Excellent vintage condition! We sell lots of these older cases and after fifty years of use they're usually battered but you can easily tell this was hardly ever used. There are a few minor scratches and scuffs on the shell but nothing serious. Most importantly, the handles are usually gone on these old bags but thisnone is perfect. No loose stitching or rips. Clasp works fine. Definitely good enough to be used today and will easily last another seventy years if you look after it!
