Great opportunity to own a brand new Paul Smith Red Ear hoodie in marl grey with the Baychimo 1969 detail on the front.
If you're familiar with Paul Smith, you'll already know exactly what you're looking at.
The Red Ear pieces are Paul Smith's Japanese branding. Better cut, better made and much, much more expensive than their European counterparts. This was £380 in Japan! (...yes, really!) So grab a serious bargain!
If you're wondering what a Baychimo is (as I was), I checked... it's the ghost ship of the Arctic! Isn't Wikipedia incredible...
The SS Baychimo was a 1,322-ton steel cargo steamer launched in 1914 that became famous as the "Ghost Ship of the Arctic". Operated by the Hudson's Bay Company for Arctic trade, it was abandoned in 1931 after becoming trapped in ice near Alaska, yet drifted unmanned for nearly 40 years, with sightings recorded until 1969.
We sell thousands of PS pieces - mostly last season's, hence our lower prices, but it's very seldom we get any Red Ear. I'd be surprised if this isn't the only one of these hoodies in Europe!
NB - The hoodie in the photos is the one that you'll receive. We don't use stock images. The sizing might be difficult to judge from the photos, so I've included pictures showing the chest size and length. This is definitely an oversized hoodie.
It's thick, fleece lined and quite heavyweight. A couple of interesting features are that PS have hand finished the bottom part of the "1969" to give it a weathered look - see the pictures, this is intentional! It also has the Red Ear Red Spot embroidered on the sleeve.
