All photos are of the actual Matchbox Speed Kings set that you'll recieve. This was released in 1973 and produced til 1980 - I can't be sure of which year this came out but if you know I always welcome any advice!

Condition

This is the best part! This was a gift to a child many, many decades ago but the boy either had no interest in cars (it's hardly been touched), or he was super careful with this.

The cars and trailer remain in close to mint condition. It has been carefully stored in the attic...where it has remained for well decades. The cars and trailer are all perfect and the only way you can tell he ever played with it is because of some of the stickers on the car door have come loose. The rest of it is perfect (see pics)

The box is less good. It was stored in a dry attic for decades so, as you'd expect with any paper product its naturally deteriorated, it has some wear on the corners and the odd small tear. Also, that plastic transparent stuff they use on the boxs' window has naturally degraded and the glue stopped working so it's quite loose (if I was going to keep this I'd glue it back in or remove the old one completely and get a new plastic sheet to replace it (will cost about 50p). No other rips and the print is still bright and clear

Pricing

There are a handful of these available - all in various conditions and from various years. Prices seem to range from £40 for an absolutely battered, late model with no box and missing pieces to £160 for a boxed, complete one like this but in mint condition (some lunatic is asking for £400...good luck with that, he'll need it!). Obviously, the box isn’t perfect so I've priced it at the lower end for a used one for a quick sale - hopefully you'll agree this is a fair price.
