Vintage Marconi Marine MIMCo 365EZ Morse Code Telegraph Transmitting Key
The machine in the photos is the one that you'll recieve. As you can see it's in outstanding condition.
A superb vintage Marconi Marine transmitting Morse key, believed to be from the 365EZ series, complete with its original Eddystone 6908P cast metal cover.
The condition of this example really is exceptional. It appears to be in virtually mint condition, with no significant scuffs, marks, damage or visible wear. The black base, grey Eddystone cover, key mechanism, adjustment fittings and internal components are all remarkably clean and appear completely intact.
Looking at the condition throughout, I would be surprised if this has ever seen any meaningful use. It may well have spent most or all of its life in storage.
The cover has EDDYSTONE 6908P cast into the inside. The mechanism incorporates the substantial ball-bearing construction associated with Marconi's professional marine transmitting keys, together with the internal terminal block, suppression components and labelled spare contacts.
These were high-quality professional communications instruments rather than lightweight amateur Morse keys, manufactured for Marconi/MIMCo marine communications equipment.
There is no Marconi identification/serial plate present and no other model markings that I can find. From the construction, internal arrangement and Eddystone 6908P cover, I believe this to be a Marconi/MIMCo 365EZ, but please regard the exact model designation as an informed identification rather than a guarantee.
Condition: Outstanding vintage condition – possibly unused or very lightly used. Please see all photographs, including the detailed photographs of the internal mechanism, as these form an important part of the description.
I have not connected the key to any equipment or electrically tested it, so it is being sold as an untested vintage communications/collectors' item.
