This is the incredibly rare Lego Monster Fighters Vampyre Castle (set: 9468).
The set in the photos is the one that you'll recieve. It was a gift way back in 2012 and was on built once (now twice...more on that later), then carefully dismantled and put away in sealed bags and stored with the original instruction manuals in the box for the last 15 years.
We sell a lot of these older Lego sets and there are always some pieces missing - they can be replaced and generally cost between £4 - £12 (yes...£12 for ONE piece of Lego!) each so it can add up.
This example is completely different. As you can see in the photos, its complete - not a single piece missing! We have painstakingly rebuilt it to ensure everything is present and also to check the condition - it's absolutely mint (to be honest it's a really good set - we really enjoyed putting this one together!). I suspect this was owned by an older child who built it and then put it away. Younger children tend to play with these which is when the damage and lost pieces become a problem - thus the immaculate condition of the set.
The box has picked up some scuffs along the edges and corners - nothing you wouldn't expect from cardboard which has been in storage this long.

Nb - as per the pics we have completely dismantled it and stored each section in a sealed, labeled bag so its ready for the total rebuild straight away.
One thing we noticed is that Lego themselves made a mistake in the instruction manual! There are a number of windows on the set - some are with 'glass' windows and some have openable shutters. In the photos on the box most are shutters but in the manual they have put in an image of two glass ones where they should have been shuttered ones! When building please remember to use the shuttered ones as per the Lego image on the box rather than the the ones in the manual - very weird that they made this mistake - maybe a misprint, Lego are normally spot on!
Pricing this has been difficult. You can pick up a set with missing instructions (therefore useless) and loads of missing pieces for as little as £50....it'll cost you more than triple that just to replace the missing parts and take weeks so personally I wouldnt bother. A new and sealed one recently sold for £275 (yes...really!). This one has obviously been opened and built (although it's in such good condition it could easily pass for being brand new), and the box isn't pristine so I've priced it at less than half what a sealed one would cost - a more than fair price for such a rare set. If you're more interested in the Lego itself than the box this is an incredible bargain!
