Vintage Ryder Cup 1970's USA v Britain Navy Blue - New Unused In Box

If you're reading this then you'll already know exactly how rare this item is - most likely the only new one left on planet earth!

This is a Ryder Cup tie that was produced sometime in the early 1970's. As you know, the Ryder Cup was originally a contest just between the USA and Britain (until 1979). This tie is from when the tournament was held at St Andrews. Very few of these were ever produced and only available at the club shop during the tournament.

The tie comes in a dark Navy blue with the Ryder Cup trophy and USA/GB flags embroidered throughout the fabric.

Condition

This is the best part! We have got three St Andrews Ryder Cup ties from a fan who used to attend the tournaments. At the time he basically bought them as souvenirs but after all this time they've become very desirable. The tie is in brand new condition and comes in the original box - he never wore them and they've only ever been out of the packaging for these photos.

Difficult to price as a new one like this has never come up for sale. Old, used ones appear in the market about once every six years and tend to sell for around £50. Personally, I think that's too expensive so have kept the price much lower - not a bad deal for such a rare item!
