This is a vintage Gilet made from thick cowhide with a insulated, padded lining
The jacket was handmade in England - it's a bespoke piece so there is no brand but judging by the high quality of the leather, the double stitched seams (for extra strength) and the care label (Johnsons the cleaners is recommended) we can deduce that it was hand crafted in Britain in the late 1980's or early 90's.
Condition
This is the best part! It's not a new item but could easily pass as being brand new. There's are no scuffs or signs of wear. No loose stitching. Zip works perfectly. No faults or signs of wear whatsoever. It's obviously a very high quality piece and despite being forty years old it'll easily last another forty if you look after it.

The label says its a UK Large but I always like to measure our leatherwear myself so you get an accurate reading!
