US ARMY Water Bottle Canteen Cup Cover and Belt - Vintage 1970's WBG 60 Vietnam

We buy interesting items from all over the country then list them online for collectors and enthusiasts globally - bought this because it's a really cool item without much knowledge about it!. I'm not a military historian so can only go with what the guy who sold it to us said and the brief research I've been able to do online when pricing it up.

My understanding is that this is a US Army issue canteen/water bottle with cup/cooking pot, canvas case & belt that was issued in the early 1970's to troops being sent to the Vietnam conflict. Apparently metal chain and bottle cap date it to this era. It has DFT The Dot embossed on the case studs and WBG 60 on the cup/pot. The only thing that turns up on the internet for these is the department for transport...unless they were involved in some armed conflict we never heard about this is obviously wrong. Maybe there's more to the Department for Transport than we thought!

Anyway, I know there are some serious militaria collectors out there so I may be and probably am completely wrong - I'd really appreciate any help or advice if you know what this is and from which era!

Condition

The belt and case are in excellent used condition. Obviously not brand new but there's no loose stitching, no significant wear, clips present, studs present - everything works exactly as it should.

Cup/pot is good. Handles present and both work - no stiffness. Aluminium so no rust

Bottle has plenty of dents on one side - looks like the soldier that owned this used it to hammer something (see pics). May have seen some action! Only dents so still holds fluids fine. Chain and cap all fine

Pricing

Very difficult to price....especially as I'm no expert on these! Just looking around on the internet it's very rare to get all four components together (bottle, cup, case, belt). The bottles seem to sell for £20 - £25. The cup for around £15. Case and belt are a lot rarer so seem to go for £30ish. I was going to split them up and sell as seperates but they've literally been through a war together so I'd rather keep the set intact.

I've priced this at £40 which I think is more than fair for a complete and working set - its definitely still good enough to be used even now - half a century after it was made!
