Incredibly rare opportunity to own a genuine piece of 49ers history!

You're looking at a San Francisco 49ers official NFL jacket made by Starter. We sell lots of vintage NFL gear but this is something very special. As you can see it was made in Hong Kong. Starters manufacturing moved from Hong Kong to China and Indonesia in 1980 which means this jacket was made at some point in the 70's and is at least 45 years old!!

I've looked everywhere and can't find another one anywhere online that is quite the same as this one...I can only speculate that as it is so ancient it's the only one left (certainly, no examples of this model have appeared for sale globally in the last five years). If you're a 49ers fan this is a must-have item for any serious collection! It's still in remarkable condition despite it's great age so can easily be worn as your daily coat but it's so rare I suspect this will be framed and used as a display piece. I suspect the previous guardian only wore it a couple of times and it's been in storage for the last few decades.

Sizing

We're a registered business seller so accept all returns without question but if you're planning on wearing this please take a few moments to compare the measurements below with one of your own jackets to ensure a perfect fit - this is quite big, even for a large. Returns are a hassle for both of us so it's much easier to get it right first time!

Condition

This is the best part! Despite being half a century old the jacket is still in superb condition! There's no worn patches, no loose stitching, no rips or holes and the zip works perfectly. There are a few dark marks on the front (see pics - looks like marks from storage) which may well come out in a wash with some vanish but with something this old I don't want to start messing about washing it with chemicals - that's your call. The marks aren't that bad but they are definitely there so I wanted you to be fully aware of everything before you make a decision. Other than that, it's structurally perfect!
