Featuring a distinct squat, chrome-plated body and bakelite or phenol-formaldehyde feet and handles, it remains a highly collectible mid-century kitchen artifact.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\" style=\"margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0;\"\u003eI've tested both kettles - both are fully working but if you're planning on using them please be careful. Health and safety didn't really exist in the 70's! There is no automatic off switch so when you hear the bubbling and see the steam you have to manually turn it off at the plug socket - although they both boiled water really quickly! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\" style=\"margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0;\"\u003eAs you can see, even though there are two kettles there is only one power cable. I was going to purchase another cable and sell them seperately but when I looked into it it's more complicated than expected - there are all sorts of vintage cables and attachments available that will work on this...I'm not an electrician so didn't want to get involved in something I don't understand! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\" style=\"margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0;\"\u003eBecause of the stunning design these now sell for between £30 and £50 each so, if you know what your doing it's definitely worth sourcing another cable or adapter. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\" style=\"margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0;\"\u003e\u003cb\u003eCondition\u003c\/b\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\" style=\"margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0;\"\u003eExcellent condition! I've given them a quick wipe to make them presentable for the photos. If we had two I'd do a deep clean, decades them and list them at £40 each.
