If you're reading this then you'll already know exactly what you're looking at.

Please take a couple of moments to read the description all the way to the end as this needs minor repair (belts).

The video recorder in the photos is the one that you'll recieve. As you can see it's still in very good condition. It's a Fisher FVH-P530 machine from 1983 - a studio standard model so much better than most on the market at the time.

I'm a professional business seller on here and buy up a lot of rare and older electronics which I generally get fixed and then sell online. I use a guy who's been doing repairs for fifty years to do the work but unfortunately, he's recently decided to retire - so I have a stack of 80's audio and video high end machines that all only need minor repairs. I hand pick each machine we buy and always choose the best pieces. His retirement has left me in something of a pickle!

This model in fully tested and working condition is worth well over £200. I've had a look inside and a couple of the belts have perished over the decades (always happens with rubber belts). All the components are present and work - it's just some of the belts. The video rewinds fine so that ones ok but it won't play or FF so it's those two belts that need to be replaced. I've included a pic of the inside so you can hopefully see what I mean. You can get a set of belts on eBay for £9

Now...as my repair guy has retired I was going  "have a go" and fix it myself (there are loads of tutorial videos on YouTube that walk you through it). It's not a difficult task for someone who knows what they're doing. I then suddenly remembered I'm not an engineer and definitely don't know what I'm doing! So rather than opening it up, start messing about with it and probably doing more damage than good I've decided to leave it to someone who can do a proper job. My main line is vintage Levi's (have a look at my other listings!) So I don't have the time to learn how to fix it. Definitely one for a tinkerer or one who knows how these machines work. Could be a fun project if it's for yourself or provide a healthy profit if you're a dealer and looking to sell it on.

Other than the belts, there are no issues whatsoever with the machine. All buttons, switches etc are present and working. There are a few scuffs on the top but no cracks or damage to the casing. Most importantly, the eject function is working perfectly - this is the most common problem with toploaders -  the gears that operate the top opening are frankly a very poor design (in all models) so usually broken - this is mint. Overall, it's a superior level VHS recorder, once you've sorted the belts you'll have quite a machine on your hands!

Shipped within 24H tracked and signed. Obviously this is a large and very heavy item so we'll pad and box it very carefully. Don't worry - we won't use hermes/evri as they'd definitely destroy or 'accidentally lose' such a rare and expensive item with a good resale value... Will be shipped via Parcelforce so you know it'll definitely arrive on time and in one piece!

International trade welcome through ebays global shipping program

Professional, reliable and honest seller - please check my feedback - lots of happy clients! We ship approximately 200 items weekly so buy with confidence. Normally, I accept returns on all our items but I've been completely honest about the condition of this. It's VERY heavy so I don't want to mess about with return shipping on this - so no returns in this one (sorry!) - sold as seen. We've been selling successfully online for over 15 years now so must be doing something right!

Peace & Good luck!
