Very rare opportunity to own a set of Panasonic SB-AK230 speakers. Not many of these around in such good condition and definitely one for a true audiophile. The speakers in the photos are the set you'll recieve. As you can see from the pics they're in excellent condition. We've fully tested them and they still sound as clean and clear as the day they were built. We test the speakers in a former church hall and these sound truly Biblical - MUCH LOUDER than I'd expected!
Not a cheap item so if you haven't already owned a set of these before I highly recommend you check some reviews online. Also, there are loads of videos on YouTube if you want to see them in action - these are VERY highly regarded so they have something of a cult following. Bizarrely, they're still much better than 99% of modern/tinny models and have a serious deep bass tone. Not the best for techno/rap but perfect for rock or soul - luckily they weren't abused by the previous guardian so the sound is still mint.
Condition
Excellent overall condition. The speakers themselves have always been covered by the grills so remain perfect. The wood cabinets have a couple of age related marks on the back but no cracks or scuffs - they're very good. The grills have some slight wear - nothing unexpected for such an old set and obviously, this doesn't affect performance. Overall I'd give them a 9/10 for physical condition but the sound quality easily gets a 10/10.
