He had a look and said he's sure it's French, from around 1870, square cut crystal with silver plated brass fittings. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\" style=\"margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0;\"\u003eCondition is very good - still completely usable as an Inkwell today. So.e wear on the Fittings where the brass is coming through from many years of use.
